fashion friday!

Yay! It's Friday. Finally, it's a breather kind of day.

Let's talk sweaters.
My obsession.
I know that I have said this many of times (especially around this time - fall). I love to bust out the ol' sweaters, chunky, long, short, cowl neck, cardigan style, all kinds! Give me a pair of leggings and my doc martins and I am ready!

So I was looking at the Charlotte Russe website and I have to say, I have a couple of selections this year :)
This fuzzy sweater makes me so warm & cozy just looking at it! And that print is so bold and simply gorgeous. I love the black & white/gray look sometimes because it's got that classic feel to it & it practically goes with everything!

Can someone say purr. I love this print, but what girl doesn't?!. I swear this is such a statement piece in its own. Don't need much as far as accessories go to look darling in this.

I am in LOVE with this color combo! And aztec print? I can rock that all day, everyday! But what caught me on this cardigan is the colors. I seriously love this color!

Where in the world would we be without spots?!. Polka dots are such a seasonal favorite of mine. Really screams winter to me and I like this pullover from CR.

This beauty is my abso favorite! Something about the draped style has me going gaga. I seriously would FILL my closet up with these cardigans if I could. Has a little white aztec print on the back and down the sleeves

shopping obsession

What better way for me to celebrate a 'holiday' then by purchasing a treat of my very own?

Not that I need any help shopping, but I was just turned onto this AMAZING site that I have quickly and seriously have become obsessed with. So obsessed that I find myself making a 'game plan' where every paycheck I earn I will get something new from this place until my ENTIRE closet is replaced. Yes, I know. I'm sick. But WAIT until you see why.
1 - Apricot Batwing Long Sleeve Geometric Cardigan Sweater: as soon as I saw this sweater it was in my shopping basket. This is my item pick for October. I LOVE the colors, style and overall feel of this cardigan. I see lots of cold fall & winter nights snuggled up in this.

2 - Wine Red Long Sleeve Swallow Print Loose Sweatshirt - can I just say that I am depressed that I have a game plan and will not be purchasing this beauty right away! I seriously love wine red! And bird print! I'm almost to heaven. This cutie will hopefully be going home with me soon.

3 - Blue V Neck Long Sleeve Hearts Pattern Cardigan - my honest belief is that a girl can never have too many cardigans. And they are great all year long! I love this cutie. Something about the look just makes me think of home with my mother in the 80s (not that I really remember the 80s since I was born in 88), but definitely reminds me of the photographs.

4 - Green Fur Hooded Long Sleeve Drawstring Pockets Coat - I don't have enough words to describe how I feel about this coat! I swear I love everything from the draw strings, button and pockets to the color, fur and cozy looking insides. This is seriously on my wishlist!

5 - Beige Long Sleeve Black Skull Pattern Mohair Sweater - I like to have a little edgy in my closet and I think this sweater would make a great staple piece to my closet. Just throw on my leggings, a complimenting scarf, my doc martins and off we go looking like a edgy but styled chick. Yes! I would love you to come home with me!

6 - Black Stand Collar Long Sleeve Belt Slim Coat - need I say more? This coat speaks for itself. And what more could you ask for? Long, slimming and gorgeous! Girl you are the whole package and then some! I can see many Christmas parties being had in this tall tale beauty.

I will be doing reviews! Once I receive my item(s) I'll style and post them up as well as review my experience, shipping time, and take on the quality. Be sure to tune in for that style impression

You can tell your husbands it is my fault that you are now on the same mission to replace everything in your closet as I am :)

For my final favorite treat! Who said that just because it's Halloween and sweet that it has to be unhealthy?!. boot season

It's no secret that Fall is here! At least that's what last week felt like here in sunny socal. Time to bust out those boots and bags ladies!!!

I saw these cuties and just had to get them up to share with you all:

Bag: I am in love with this bag. I'm a fan already of this style and love that you can use the small handles for a cute arm piece or strap it on and sport it as a shoulder bag / Boots: I think the photo says it all! Check out the detailing on the top of the boot! And the contrasting colors?!. I'm in love.

Also Halloween is on the way! So the rest of the week is going to be dedicated to Halloween!! I'm thinking DIYs, fashion, and just some good wholesome fun :)

Check back in tomorrow for my Spellbinding Treats edition.

Fashion Friday!

I just LOVE this combination and I'm not even a 'western' style type of gal! This is just seriously a cute combination:

Bag: comes in black or brown but I personally love the brown look / Boots: Just love the western look and feel to these and who doesn't love a little heel

It's been such a long time since I've blogged that I think I've lost my ability. I have been wanting to blog and just get my creative feel back and reconnect with all the lovely readers and bloggers that I was enjoying before.

Unfortunately, I have not figured out the balance of motherhood and personalhood lol. I'm still working that out. but have enjoyed the figuring out process as much as possible.

I am happy to report that even though I am now a mother, I have not lost my passion for fashion :) I'm still doing some shopping for myself (although a trip to the mall has quickly turned into baby shopping bags) and hopefully once I feel my body has returned to 'normal' - I know this is no longer achievable - I want to do some fashion shoots to post up. But for now, photos from the web and other lovely bloggers and fashion goddesses will have to do.

I'm linking up with some pretty awesome style blogs today; be sure to check them out and join in!:

losing my hair

Yep, it's true. I'm losing my hair by the gobs.

Showering use to be one of my favorite times of the day. Now I dread jumping in because I'm standing them trying to push my hair back into my head. It's a freakshow.

Course this is normal. After having a baby your body has to get rid of all the hair that you didn't lose during pregnancy. Forgot that you were losing your hair daily before pregnancy didn't you?!. Well it's catching up now. Losing it by the handfuls isn't fun but I do delight in the weight being lifted from my neck. Guess it's bitter sweet.

On the hair note I was wondering, do you think it's insane to color your hair pink now that your a mom? Does that make us less of a good mom because we like to dye our hair freaky colors?
Images compliments of Google

I'm not thinking of dying my hair anything crazy like pink (plus my hair is already red) but I was at the store yesterday and these older ladies were just being a little stereotypical about the mom with the cool colored hair and a baby in the basket.

Maybe I'll get me a pink wig...

blog revamp

It's time to revamp my blog. It's outdated now that baby is here and life has changed so much (for the better!).

Looking to see if someone could spice up my blog a little. Make it more 'baby friendly'. But still keeping fashion incorporated.

It's a tall order but I need my life spilled out on this blog. I want to make this a place where other new parents can come laugh, get inspired and maybe take something with them. I like to know that I'm not the only new mommy whose done some silly things, has a million fears or baby talks for a living.

If you know someone who would be up to the challenge, please comment their link below :)

New adventures are in store!

mid 20s crisis

I see the future of my blog heading into baby central. With fashion too of course (planning a fashion post on Friday so don't go anywhere).

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm having a mid-life (in my 20s) crisis. That's right, a mid 20s crisis is what I'm calling it.

I've found myself wanting to stay at home with my child, wanting to go to work to incorporate some adult conversation into my life and wanting to start a million and a half hobbies because I want to stay creative. I'm a an impasse and have no idea what I'm doing anymore lol.

Of course I have a plan for now until I figure out what I'm really going to do. But this mid 20s crisis is really starting to consume my thoughts. Before baby I KNEW that I was going to be a successful full-time working woman. I had a dream that I was going to be respected and sought after for my talents and ambitions. And that I was to going to the top and staying there until God took me home.

I even had a dream plan for when I was going to have kids: take my time for maternity leave, return to work and be a mommy in the evenings and weekends.

Now...everything has changed. Guess my dreams kind of wisped out the bottle I was holding them in.

My thinking, my dreams, my passions. Everything. Maybe because this is all still new to me I'm being a little dramatic. But at the moment, this is where I am. I want to be a full time mom without being a full time mom. Make sense? lol.

Did your thinking and world go into crisis mode too when you had your first child?

My conclusion: I need a new dream.

do you run a daycare??

Does anyone else's house look like they run a daycare? A messy, crazy and slightly dysfunctional daycare?
This is my life now lol. No matter how many times I pick things up, move them out of my living room or put them away, they always seem to find themselves right smack in the middle of my living room again. This is crazy. And a bit joyful. Reminds me that someone else runs my world now lol.

To all the new dysfunctional living room mommys out there, I salute you. It takes a lot to be this impossible lol.

just going to pick it up here...

I know I have been away too long to just jump right back into blogging. But guess what, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Course I will give you a little update of what's happened since I last blogged:

It's the best thing ever!
But of course my ENTIRE life has changed. And I don't know why people always say that like it's a negative thing. I love it. Think it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me. So whenever someone asks me if their life will change when they have a baby I am going to respond ABSOULTELY. But for the better!

More to come :)

happy tuesday my wonderful readers you :)

P.S. Winners of my last giveaway: I have NOT forgotten about you. I'm so sorry; life took over but I will get those awesome wallets and gift cards out to you :)

much needed...

Hi lovely people!
I have done it again! I have disappeared from the blogging realm yet again. Sorry! I am still adjusting to the 'busy' mom life that I will know in less than 7 weeks!

Although I am SUPER excited, I am also a little overwhelmed with moving into a new house (still haven't unpacked!), planning two baby showers (yes, I know two), tying up loose ends at work (somebodies got to do my million and a half tasks while I'm out), going to the doctor's office every week (because I am under preterm labor watch) and dealing with gestational diabetes (HERE), reading up on mommy stuff, attending all these new mommy classes, keeping up with yoga, staying in touch with friends and family and just a million other little things like laundry, errands, etc. So I have fallen off the wagon a little bit trying to keep up with the 'normal' life of becoming a mom. Not to mention that I am closing up shop for awhile so that I can focus on baby and enjoy being a new mom with less distractions.
I will get back to blogging and I hope to bring a thousand new stories, photos and advice for the other new mommies when I do. But for now, I am taking a much needed break until I get my life somewhat under control.

I might return to post up some of my maternity photos though :)
I will be sending out the giveaway items!
I will be taking tons of photos and making notes of things to share when I come back!
I will still be accessible through email, twitter and instagram!
And I will still be reading all of your lovely blogs!

Wish me luck with the whole birthing thing because I have a feeling when it comes to it I'm going to be the one yelling at the doctor that I changed my mind, I don't want to do this anymore!

Until a little later my friends!
