Yay! It's Friday. Finally, it's a breather kind of day.

Let's talk sweaters.

My obsession.

I know that I have said this many of times (especially around this time - fall). I love to bust out the ol' sweaters, chunky, long, short, cowl neck, cardigan style, all kinds! Give me a pair of leggings and my doc martins and I am ready!

So I was looking at the Charlotte Russe website and I have to say, I have a couple of selections this year :) 

FUZZY AZTEC PRINT CARDIGAN

This fuzzy sweater makes me so warm & cozy just looking at it! And that print is so bold and simply gorgeous. I love the black & white/gray look sometimes because it's got that classic feel to it & it practically goes with everything!

LEOPARD PRINT SWEATER TUNIC

Can someone say purr. I love this print, but what girl doesn't?!. I swear this is such a statement piece in its own. Don't need much as far as accessories go to look darling in this.

GEOMETRIC PRINT KNIT CARDIGAN

 I am in LOVE with this color combo! And aztec print? I can rock that all day, everyday! But what caught me on this cardigan is the colors. I seriously love this color!

POLKA DOT PULLOVER SWEATER

Where in the world would we be without spots?!. Polka dots are such a seasonal favorite of mine. Really screams winter to me and I like this pullover from CR. 

DRAPED KNIT AZTEC CARDIGAN

This beauty is my abso favorite! Something about the draped style has me going gaga. I seriously would FILL my closet up with these cardigans if I could. Has a little white aztec print on the back and down the sleeves

boot season

It's no secret that Fall is here! At least that's what last week felt like here in sunny socal. Time to bust out those boots and bags ladies!!! 

I saw these cuties and just had to get them up to share with you all:

Bag: I am in love with this bag. I'm a fan already of this style and love that you can use the small handles for a cute arm piece or strap it on and sport it as a shoulder bag / Boots: I think the photo says it all! Check out the detailing on the top of the boot! And the contrasting colors?!. I'm in love.

Also Halloween is on the way! So the rest of the week is going to be dedicated to Halloween!! I'm thinking DIYs, fashion, and just some good wholesome fun :)

Fashion Friday!

I just LOVE this combination and I'm not even a 'western' style type of gal! This is just seriously a cute combination:

Bag: comes in black or brown but I personally love the brown look / Boots: Just love the western look and feel to these and who doesn't love a little heel

It's been such a long time since I've blogged that I think I've lost my ability. I have been wanting to blog and just get my creative feel back and reconnect with all the lovely readers and bloggers that I was enjoying before. 

Unfortunately, I have not figured out the balance of motherhood and personalhood lol. I'm still working that out. but have enjoyed the figuring out process as much as possible.

I am happy to report that even though I am now a mother, I have not lost my passion for fashion :) I'm still doing some shopping for myself (although a trip to the mall has quickly turned into baby shopping bags) and hopefully once I feel my body has returned to 'normal' - I know this is no longer achievable - I want to do some fashion shoots to post up. But for now, photos from the web and other lovely bloggers and fashion goddesses will have to do.

blog revamp

It's time to revamp my blog. It's outdated now that baby is here and life has changed so much (for the better!).

 

Looking to see if someone could spice up my blog a little. Make it more 'baby friendly'. But still keeping fashion incorporated.

 

It's a tall order but I need my life spilled out on this blog. I want to make this a place where other new parents can come laugh, get inspired and maybe take something with them. I like to know that I'm not the only new mommy whose done some silly things, has a million fears or baby talks for a living.

mid 20s crisis

I see the future of my blog heading into baby central. With fashion too of course (planning a fashion post on Friday so don't go anywhere).

 

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm having a mid-life (in my 20s) crisis. That's right, a mid 20s crisis is what I'm calling it.

 

I've found myself wanting to stay at home with my child, wanting to go to work to incorporate some adult conversation into my life and wanting to start a million and a half hobbies because I want to stay creative. I'm a an impasse and have no idea what I'm doing anymore lol.

 

Of course I have a plan for now until I figure out what I'm really going to do. But this mid 20s crisis is really starting to consume my thoughts. Before baby I KNEW that I was going to be a successful full-time working woman. I had a dream that I was going to be respected and sought after for my talents and ambitions. And that I was to going to the top and staying there until God took me home.

 

I even had a dream plan for when I was going to have kids: take my time for maternity leave, return to work and be a mommy in the evenings and weekends.

 

Now...everything has changed. Guess my dreams kind of wisped out the bottle I was holding them in.

My thinking, my dreams, my passions. Everything. Maybe because this is all still new to me I'm being a little dramatic. But at the moment, this is where I am. I want to be a full time mom without being a full time mom. Make sense? lol.

 

Did your thinking and world go into crisis mode too when you had your first child?

 

My conclusion: I need a new dream.

fashion friday: firmoo review!

Happy Friday everyone!!!

With the growing 'me' in progress (now 7 months!!!) I have really had to be pretty clever with my outfits. So this may seem 'simple' to you, but it was a lot of work to put together lol.

But let me introduce you to one of my favorite accessories with this outfit: my new GLASSES!!! I swear these bad boys have become my favorite overnight! And unlike MOST fashion glasses you buy (like my favorite places: icing, target & charlotte russe) these are so comfortable and don't have that weird glare effect in the sun or foggy look - you know the one where you put them on and it looks like your looking through smeared glass? Yea, ELIMINATED in these cuties!

Firmoo was so generous to gift me with these beauties (which I have seriously seen all over the web, on celebs and blowing up fashion blogs). You can even create a profile with them and upload photos of you styling your glasses! It's such a neat and fun little community. Meet other folks and see how they style.

I am really impressed with the casing it arrived in as well. Not your standard 'hard casing' in my opinion. This casing is soft, light and reminds me of a turtle because it just feels like it's made to last! Sometimes you get those cute cases for your glasses and the hinges wear out or it doesn't close all the way or it ends up with a weird overbite (I hate when that happens the most). But this case feels solid and built to last. Plus you get this super soft little black bag to put your case and glasses into (seriously I carry this thing with me EVERYWHERE now). 

By the way, I chose the plaid pattern because it's a little bit different and plaid is kinda my thing. I love the mixture of colors and geometric pattern. Plus it blends some of the prettiest colors :)

And did I mention that I was surprised how fast these got here?!. I think they come from somewhere in China, but I got them within a week! And the representatives are SUPER responsive and helpful.

Now onto my outfit and styling of these lovely plaids.

butterfly kisses

This was such a fun outfit to do :) Even though from the side I look like I really swallowed a basketball the flow and comfort of this dress is amazing! Plus I'm a little obsessed with navy and white right now. It's so gorgeous! And it gave me a reason to bust out with my white flats :)

Tonight I'm working an event so I'll be on my feet ALL night, but I'm looking forward to it. Unfortunately, this week I have started to gain all that water weight the doctor warned about. I swear I feel like a blowfish all over. The worst is in my face (ugh!) but it's for my little man so it's totally worth it. It's crazy to think that I only have 12 weeks left!!! And then I'll be a mommy!

Today I start my kick chart with him :) So every evening, after dinner, I'm to find a quiet place to rest, place my hand over my tummy, look at the time, and see how long it takes him to kick me 10 times. This is the fun part, cause I seriously enjoy feeling his little self move around, kick and skate across my tummy :) It's a feeling I KNOW I'm going to really miss when he's here. But I have really enjoyed every moment of it.

Mint has been an obsession for awhile and I'm just getting into the groove. I picked up this cute little sweater from Macy's and have been loving it! I swear if it wasn't gross I would love to wear this everyday.

I have to say that it's getting a little frustrating that none of my jeans are fitting anymore! Some days it almost reduces me to tears because some days just feel like a jean kind of day. So what do I do? Find a way to make it work (since I can't zip-up or button up) or find a pair of leggings to act as my pants for the day. I found that jeggings have been a lifesaver! Look like jeans but stretch like leggings.
